Out of stocks, long transit times, and delays. Over the last few months, the entire global supply chain has been thrown completely out of whack. While vaccinations are on the rise, almost no one is immune to the disruptions caused by shipping and manufacturing. From Etsy sellers struggling to get their wares to their customers via USPS, to giants like Amazon having to push out delivery timelines, businesses big and small are struggling.
PFC is equally susceptible to supply chain issues, and we are working as hard as we can to get products into our warehouses and shipped back out. External supply chain delays, our adherence to social distancing protocols to keep everyone safe, and weeks of winter weather that have shuttered our shipping partners – UPS and FedEx – in much of the Mid-Atlantic created a perfect storm that caused hiccups in our order fulfillment.
For the last year, we have been working around the clock to retool and adapt to the ever-changing landscape. One issue we’ve been having is getting containers for our supplements; they have been delayed for months due to a global plastic shortage. With that in mind, we’ve been pivoting our packaging to get those products to you as quickly as possible. Along with timeliness, this pivot has allowed us to examine the sustainability of our packaging. Thus, we are exploring more eco-friendly alternatives for our product packaging, and look forward to sharing them with you.
We appreciate all of your patience and know how trying product shortages and delays can be. Please know we are doing everything we can to help you run your business as successfully as possible.
