As you are all well aware, supply chains are still pretty haywire. We are doing our best to make sure we get everything we can in stock. To say supply chain issues have increased would be an understatement! Currently we are having challenges with Dr. Smoothie purées, cups and dried fruits! As detailed in our previous email, certain purées will be coming in larger bottles soon due to PET shortages. In addition, we also have another manufacturer coming on board for our top 4 flavors (Mango, Strawberry, Four Berry & Pineapple) to help mitigate the shortages. NEW PURÉE SIZES Due to lack of availability with plastics and resins used to make their plastic bottles, Dr. Smoothie is switching to a 64oz size bottle for the following flavors, effective immediately: Strawberry Strawberry Banana Mango Pineapple Blend Four Berry Peach-Pear-Apricot Please note that pricing will remain the same per ounce. Due to popularity, we are already running out of 46oz bottles in the above flavors. Supply chain challenges are still just that – challenging! We are seeing blenders come in from Blendtec sporadically and they are going out as soon as they get here. The computer chips required to run these blenders are imported and in short supply. We are working diligently to try to keep inventory levels up, but that has continued to be a challenge. Packaging materials are still in short supply, as well as some ingredients, which has made it difficult to get production levels on proteins up. Out of stocks, long transit times, and delays. Over the last few months, the entire global supply chain has been thrown completely out of whack. While vaccinations are on the rise, almost no one is immune to the disruptions caused by shipping and manufacturing.
